Privacy Policy

Effective: October 26, 2026

Gyeongtae Park (the "Operator") runs Market Rewind (market-rewind.com, the "Service") and sets out this privacy policy to protect users' personal information and handle related requests under Korea's Personal Information Protection Act. This is a translation of the Korean original. If the two differ, the Korean version prevails.

1. What we process and why

We process only the minimum personal information needed to run the Service, and use it for no purpose other than those below.

The Service shows no ads and uses no analytics or tracking tools.

2. Retention and deletion

  • Account information, game records, nickname: kept until you ask to close your account or the Service ends, then deleted promptly.
  • Automatically generated access logs: deleted automatically after the retention period set by our hosting and database providers (typically a few days to a few weeks).
  • Contact emails: kept for 1 year after your request is handled, then deleted.

Electronic records are deleted so that they cannot be recovered. We do not keep personal information on paper.

3. Sharing with third parties

We do not provide your personal information to third parties, except where required by law or requested by investigative authorities through legal procedures.

Once rankings open, signed-in users' nicknames and the return and rank of their ranked games are shown to other users. Email addresses and names are never shown.

4. Processors and international transfers

We entrust the processing of personal information to the companies below to run the Service. They are U.S. companies, and personal information may be processed outside Korea as described. Transfers happen over the network as you use the Service.

If you don't want your information transferred abroad, you can stop using the Service and ask to close your account. The Service can't run without these providers.

Information you give Google while signing in is governed by Google's privacy policy.

5. Your rights

You can ask at any time to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to stop its processing. You can change your nickname yourself in the Service; send other requests to pgt0409@gmail.com. We will verify your identity, handle the request within 10 days, and tell you the result.

A legal guardian or someone you authorize may also make requests, with proof of the authorization.

6. Children under 14

Only people aged 14 or older can create a signed-in account. If we learn that a child under 14's personal information was collected without a legal guardian's consent, we delete it promptly.

7. Browser storage and cookies

The Service stores only what it needs to work in your browser.

  • locale cookie: remembers your chosen language (1 year).
  • Sign-in session (browser storage): keeps your anonymous or signed-in session.
  • Tutorial completion (browser storage): decides whether to suggest the tutorial to first-time players.

You can block or clear cookies and site data in your browser settings. If you clear the sign-in session, you lose access to records made without signing in, and blocking storage makes the Service hard to use.

8. Security measures

  • All traffic is encrypted with HTTPS.
  • Row-level access rules let users read only their own records, and only the server can change records.
  • Administrative secret keys are kept on the server only, and only the Operator can access the admin console.
